In order for a candidate to be successful in the doctoral qualifying written exam; she/he is required to get at least 70 out of 100 from the major written exam and at least 60 out of 100 from the minor written exam.
Only the candidates who are considered successful in the written exam, are allowed to take the oral exam.
In order for the candidate to be successful in the doctoral proficiency oral exam; she/he is required to get at least 70 out of 100 from the oral exam.

As a minor, students have to choose one of the topics given below:
Minor: Analytical Chemistry
Microbiology
Molecular Genetics
Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology
Physical Chemistry
